For a Dark Immortal Chaos Chao:
	After second death... Pet it with dark characters and feed it dark fruits. Once you've taken care of it for a while, it will metamorphosize into a Dark Immortal Chaos Chao. It will never die.

For an Immortal Chaos Chao:
	After second death... Pet it and take care of it evenly with both Hero and Dark characters. Feed it chao fruits, too. Once its stamina level has been brought up to a certain level and you've spent enough time with it, it will metamorphosize into an Immortal Chaos Chao, or Light Chao. It even slightly resembles chaos zero.

For a Hero Immortal Chaos Chao:
	After second death... Take care of it and pet it with Hero characters. Feed it hero fruits. When it metamorphosizes, it will turn into a Hero Immortal Chaos Chao.

Let a Chao Reincarnate Twice

Give it all of the 21 animals - ONE of EACH

Raise it with Dark/Hero characters.

Let it metamorphosize.

 

Transparent Chao



Transparent chao are pretty easy to get, as long as you have enough rings to buy certain chao and time to have cared for them until after their first metamorphosis. Here's a step-by-step method on getting a transparent chao:

Step 1: Buy a Jewel Chao from the GBA, or get one from a friend's memory card using the Chao Transporter.

Step 2: Buy a Shiny chao from the Black Market.

Step 3: Once they have metamorphosized (both of them), give them each a heart fruit. Bring one to the other and they'll dance. An egg will pop up!

Step 4: Hatch the egg anyway you'd like and you'll have a baby transparent chao.

Completely Translucent Chao

Here's one I've recently heard about: A completely translucent chao. I've never seen one of these before, but it sounds... reasonable. To get one, you'll have to acquire a Sapphire Chao from the GBA, and a Shiny Pink Chao from the market. Mate them together. The resulting baby should be completely transparent.

Here's another way to get one (100% chance of working): First get a shiny gray chao. Then get a silver chao. When they become adults, give them both heart fruits.The chao should come out competely invisible! The only thing you can see of it is the eyes and wings.

Other combinations that are said to work: Gold Neutral Normal type/Shiny Yellow Neutral Run type

Transparent/Translucent Ghost Chao

Give your transparent/translucent chao a bat (or two) to make it lose its legs. It'll be the ghost of the garden!

Green Transparent Chao

First get a shiny white chao from the black market. Then get a silver chao from the GBA. When they become adults give them both a heart fruit. The chao should come out as a green Transparent chao!

Yellow Transparent Chao

First get a shiny red chao. Then get a silver chao. When they become adults, mate them and the baby should come out as a yellow transparent chao!

 

Regular Chao

After giving a chao one type of chaos drive for a long time and feeding it well, it'll metamorphosize. A couple of things can control the way it metamorphosizes - how much stamina it has, how long you've been with it, and what characters have taken care of it. With these guidelines in mind, check the tables below for some awesome-looking chao - take care of them with the tips above, and you'll have a garden full of great chao to show off in no time!

Some chao look mighty neat because they are mixes of all sorts of stuff - colors, animal parts, hats, etc. Here is the list of some of the coolest chao you'll find in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. And don't forget to e-mail me your own chao recipes if you've got some!

Cool-Looking Chao

With Shadow, give a normal chao a fruit. After it finishes, pet it until it turns a dark brown with some red. Next, give the chao dragons and tigers. Keep giving it those two animals until it as tiger arms & legs and dragon horns & wings. Wait till it turns into a dark chao, it will look neat! Note:if your give it purple chao drives it will fly super high where it is only a dot, also your chao will breath fire every now and then.

Org (from Dragon Tails)

O.K. I know you think I watch dragon tails but I DON'T. First get a blue chao and give it all the dragon parts. Then raise it to be a neutral chao. Now give it Red Chaos drives.

Harry Potter

Get a black chao and give it a skeleton dog. Then give it a brown eggshell for the hair. Let it win the race with the rattle as its prize. When your chao takes the rattle out to play with, the chao will look like Harry Potter with a wand!

Liberty Chao

Use the following steps get the Liberty Chao that can be seen at the start of a race (has a book and is holding a torch). When your Chao is born, only care for it with either good characters or bad characters. This will determine if your Chao is a Hero Liberty Chao or a Dark Liberty Chao. Feed your Chao only one specific Chaos drive color or give it only one special animal (Phoenix, Dragon, etc.) Make sure your Chao earns the Hero or Dark badge depending on what you want your Chao to be. Your Chao can have all the badges desired, but make sure it does not get the opposite badge of what you want it to be. Continue feeding and taking care of it. After your Chao evolves do not give it any animals. Give it exactly the same amount of Chaos drives, one at a time each. This will change its head shape to the star-like effect. Keep doing this until its head changes to the star-effect and wait until it evolves. Make sure its cocoon is pink. When it is born again, it will be a Liberty Chao. Also, if you get the Liberty Chao and have a TV, if the Liberty Chao watches it you can see Big the Cat in the show that appears. Note: Make sure you start out with a white and not a colored egg.

Magic chao

When you enter Chao Karate, if you go to Expert you will see a Chao named Magic. First, pet a Chao frequently with Sonic, then get one of each animal and give it to the Chao. Then, get about eight Skeleton Dogs and give it to the Chao. All the animals should be gone. If not, keep giving him the Skeleton Dog then give it lots of Green Chaos Drives. This requires patience -- it should evolve when its level reaches 32. Note: If you leave the Gamecube on overnight, the chao will eat fruit on its own and the spike on its head will get longer.

Ice Chao

This chao is cool. It doesn't look like a character but it does look like ice. First get a Shiny White and a Sky Blue Egg. Raise the chao to become adults and mate them. You want the chao to come out of the egg transparent sky blue and shiny white. Now raise it to be a neutral/swimming/swimming. The long ears and tip of head will look like icicles. You can give it a skunk to make it pass green gas, but you can imagine it as ice mist.

Rainbow Chao

I'm not 100 percent sure this will work, but I remember hearing about it from various sources. To get a Rainbow Chao, you'll need to have obtained at least 100 emblems. Once you've gotten those, mate two regular chao together. The baby will have a chance at coming out all multi-colored. I think the chances of it being a rainbow chao are 1:2, but those are just stats I've heard from people. I've never actually seen one of these chao before.

Two-colored Chao

To get color-changing chao, you'll have to mate a set of them together and pet them with any characters. But the catch is they have to be born a certain color in order to obtain the effect. To get a two-colored/color-changing chao, mate the two listed colors of chao, and proceed with petting the chao with the characters if the babies are born the color written in (parenthesis). Note: You can get two-colored shiny chao using the counterparts of the regularly-colored chao.

Silver/Gold Chao - (Silver)
Yellow/Green Chao - (Yellow)
Green/Blue Chao - (Green)
Purple/Orange Chao - (Purple)
Purple/Blue Chao - (blue)
Brown/Black Chao - (Brown)
Pink/Purple Chao - (Pink)
White/Gray Chao - (White)

I think it might also work with the colors White and Black. Mate a White and Black chao together and try petting both a black and white baby. See which ones change color.

Total Ghost Chao

To get one of these, you'll have to buy a shiny white chao from the black market. Give it a few bats to make it lose its legs, a skeleton dog so it's able to wear a hat, and a few half-fish to give it a flame chao ball thing. Then give it the shiny white eggshell to place on its head. It's the new ghost of the garden!

Pumpkin Chao

Give a regular chao a bunch of boars and a Skeleton Dog. Dig up a pumpkin and give it to your chao. After doing so, take care of the chao with a dark character.

Pure Gold Chao

To make a pure gold chao buy a shiny gold chao egg in the game boy advance. Next, buy a pot from the black market. Give a Skeleton Dog to the chao and put the pot on his head. Let it reincarnate. It will be pure gold!

Ugly Green Chao

Mate a Shiny Gold Chao with a regular (preferably dark) chao and hatch the egg. Keep doing so until the result turns out to be an ugly green chao 0o.

Alternately-Colored Dr. Chao Chao

1. First I mated a normal chao with a yellow chao that had hatched from a previous mating experiment. The chao that hatched was completely yellow.

2. Then I gave him a skeleton dog and put a blue eggshell on his head.

3. Then I ignored him completely. i didn't give him any choas drives or animals and i let him feed himself.

4. Then I took him to the dark garden after he had taken a really long nap and he evolved (he only had lvl.2 stamina).

5. Well when he evolved he was still wearing his eggshell so I jumped on him and I noticed he had these three feathers or something growing out from each sid of his head. i thought "wow he looks like that doctor guy" so I took him up to the kindergarten and compared him and the doctor and they look almost exactly the same! The only difference was that my chao was yellow w/ grean "hair" and was evil.

Chocolate Shadow Chao

Mate a regular chao with a red one until the baby comes out looking dark red (just keep trying). Raise it with dark characters (preferably Shadow ^-) and give it a lot of green drives. The end results should look like a Shadow Chao, but with red stripes. Instead of the body being black, it's brown, but the shading is black.

Webmistress's note: I think this may also work if the baby that hatches is a regular chao, because it will also have the red parent chao's "genes" in its body. Which means it still may come out looking like a Shadow Chao, but perhaps it will be black instead of brown.

Lucky Chao

This was also another recipe named after the chao. Its a hero chao. I like Dark chao more XD. Breed a neutral chao with a purple chao. Turn that chao into a regular hero chao. It will be purple with a weird red hands.

Proto-Type Chao

Breed a neutral chao with a purple chao. The chao that hatches will be a dark purple. Raise it with a dark character into a normal dark chao. And it will be black and purple instead of red and black.

Dark Chocolate Swimming Chao

Breed a neutral Chao with an red chao. Hatch the chao. It will be dark red. Metaphorsis it to an Dark swimming chao. And instead of an Green dark swimming chao it'll be black, brown and red. He has red paws!

Funny Orange Chao

Mate a shiny orange regular chao with a dark power chao. Get 2 heart fruits mate the two chao. The baby should come out shiny with a weird color to it. It has orange hands and feet and the rest is gold or brown.

Mutated Orange Chao ( O_o )

Mate a regular chao that can be at any age with an orange chao. Get at least 4 heart fruits and mate both chao. This may take a couple of tries... it took me two. When the baby comes out it will look orange with a black tummy with 2 black spots on the back of his head. It will also look good as both hero and dark chao's.

Phantom Chao

Get a completely invisible chao and take off his legs. Then give him a skeleton dog. If his legs come back then give him another bat. Then give him a skull and then you'll have a floating skull!

Black and White Chao

To get a black and white chao, transfer a gold chao from The Tiny Chao Garden onto SA2 Battle. Then, NEVER leave the chao garden. Don't go to get rings, or go to the black market. Just pet him and give him coconuts till he evolves after 3 hours. Hopefully he'll be a really pretty black and white colour!

Brick Red Shiny Chao

Mate a regular hero chao and a hero topaz, if the babies a topaz, good, if not, try again. Make the baby a hero topaz and get a shiny red chao(if you cant find it in the black market, mooch one off of your friend.) Raise the shiny red chao to be a neautral and mate it with your hero topaz you just got. Genes skip a genaration, and the normal chaos's normal genes should now belong to the shiny brick red chao. This may confuse some of you because the baby should be semi transparent, if it is, try again. This chao resembales a chao that could only be gotten at an Chao convention at Tokyo.

Yoshi Chao

Get a green Chao and grow it up as a hero power, give it animals so it has warthog feet, a dragons tail, and small red wings(just hope for them they only represent yoshi's saddle)

Red Red Chao

Raise a neutral power normal chao, and a neutral power red chao let them metamorpisize and when they do make them breed, their baby should be very dark red with light red hands.

Midnight Hour Chao

Mate a gray and black chao together. Give the baby a skeleton dog and give it a black wool mask.

Rising Sun Chao

Make a regular hero power chao. Give it a skeleton dog and a red wool mask.

Neptune Chao

Make a neutral run/swim chao. Give it a skeleton dog and blue wool mask.

Cyborg Chao

Get a silver chao. Give it a skeleton dog, then buy a metal bucket and give it to the chao to wear.

Cyborg Chao 2

Get a Gold Chao. Let it wear a pan after giving it a skeleton dog.

Full Cyborg Chao

This chao is kind of the cyborg chao but better with colors. Mate a silver chao with the shiny sky blue and if the egg comes out right it will have a cool color of silver and shiny sky blue. Then just make the chao wear a metal bucket.

Wildfire Chao

Make a red chao a Dark Immortal Chaos Chao.

Cupid Chao

This chao is cute. Just get a pink (or shiny pink) chao and make it a normal hero type.

Katydid Chao

Get a normal colored/lime green chao, and make it a neutral swim, and when its evolved, give it LOTS and LOTS of swim drives. Give it dragon wings and antennae only.

Roadrunner Chao

(Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner style, of course): Make a Hero Power Chao (dark blue/purple or plain blue, can't be shiny), and give it penguin arms and legs, and a unicorn tail. Be sure to give it lots of run after it evolves, and let it play the flute often!

Shiny Blue/Black Shadow Chao

Party Red Chao

1: Get a red egg
2: Must be a power chao

5: When transform make it to neutral power/power chao

Cockroach Chao

Cockroach chao are among the easiest chao to get. There are actually two ways to get one. Here they are:

Normal cockroach chao:

Step 1: Get an Onyx chao from the GBA and hatch it (it's pretty expensive, so you might want to find someone who already has one. Tell them to mate their onyx chao with a normal one to get a baby onyx chao for you).

Step 2: Go find lots of dragons. A really good stage that lets you get two dragons in about a minute is Wild Canyon, played with Knuckles. Find the three chao boxes (one on one of the four ledges surrounding the "wind", and one in each direction from the center of the "wind", both left and right. Head toward the center of the stage when you first start and fly upward, then go both left and right to find two chao boxes. They're not hard to spot). Then go with Knux to the place you found his mystic melody in. If you don't know where this is, then climb up the wall at the END of each point of the two divided sections in the top of this stage. You'll see a painting. Dig into it and you'll drop down. Climb up the left-hand corner of the wall to find the second dragon.

Step 3: Bring your collection of dragons to chao world. Let your chao play with one dragon at a time until it gets antennae. If you get wings, feet, or paws, you'll have to go find skeleton dogs to delete those parts. You can find one of top of church mountain in Knuckles' Pumpkin Hill stage. Keep alternating between dragons/skeleton dogs until your chao will only remain with the antennae.

Step 4: Raise it as whatever type of chao you want, and keep feeding it to get its stamina high enough to let it metamorphosize. Spend time with it, too.

Extra: Don't let your chao get leveled up in its run stats. Let it continue to crawl, therefore making it really look like a cockroach!

Dark Cockroach Chao:

Step 1: Get a black egg from the market, or get a friend to mate their black chao with another chao to get a baby black chao for you.

Step 2: Give it antennae by following the steps 2-4 above.

Extra: I think this chao really looks cool. You can even get a collection of different-colored cockroach chao! Why don't you try a shiny black chao...?
